At Dalyellup College, we believe that learning support and behaviour management are intertwined and that our curriculum, pedagogy, and ability to differentiate and cater to our student's needs impact student engagement. The ideal candidate should advocate for multi-tiered approaches to student well-being, behaviour, and learning, be capable of providing clear direction, and build staff capacity for positive learning experiences.
As the Program Coordinator for our Student Services Team, you'll be one of the two staff members responsible for leading and managing the team. You'll lead the implementation of multi-tiered approaches to catering to the diverse educational needs of our students. You'll work to build an effective team, gather data, create strategic plans, execute tiered interventions, deliver professional development, and monitor progress. With your help, we can make our school a place where every student can reach their full potential and shine!

Candidates with the following knowledge or skills will be highly regarded:
- Organisational skills, including managing time effectively, prioritising tasks, and keeping accurate records.
- Expertise in Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), Case Management, Restorative Practice, and Conflict Resolution, and developing and implementing documented plans.
- Proficiency in analysing student data from various sources to monitor student performance, well-being, and behaviour.
- Proven ability to lead strategic planning and implement effective change management strategies to improve student services.
- Gathering and analysing data to inform planning for comprehensive student support services, inclusion and differentiation, and social-emotional well-being.
- Developing appropriate transition plans.
- Providing case management support to students with complex needs, including collaborating with key stakeholders and supports.
- Planning Tier 2 and 3 interventions for highly vulnerable students with complex needs.
- Ensuring the creation of documented plans: for students with additional needs, Specific Learning Disorders, significant mental disorders, complex students, English as an Additional Language or Dialect, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and gifted students.
- Collating Nationally consistent Collection of Data (NCCD), analyse eligibility and communicate adjustments.
- Coordinating the applications for an Individual Disability Allocation (IDA).
- Overseeing the Special Education Needs Reporting.
- Supporting teachers in implementing adjustments.
- Planning and conducting Individual Education Plan (IEP) reviews and include teachers.
- Managing Education Assistants and the student services team to support students' needs.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements:
- Capacity to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings.
- High level of interpersonal and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes.
- Professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students (e.g. Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs).
- Capacity to manage physical and financial resources.

Eligibility and training requirements
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment.
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement.
- Complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter.
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement.
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
