Kinross College is seeking to appoint a Level 3 Program Coordinator to a newly created permanent position commencing Term 1, 2024. The successful applicant will work as part of a collaborative and experienced Executive team who are focused on providing staff with high quality training and development.

Ideally the successful applicant should possess the abilities to manage the successful implementation, monitoring and expansion of new software and systems that support the efficient running of the school and enhances workflow practices. Developing staff understanding and supporting them through targeted training where relevant will play a key part in this position. Understanding the Compass School Management System, TES timetabling and Departmental systems are desirable to fulfil this role successfully, ensuring the stability, integrity and efficient operation of each platform. The successful applicant will lead the development and implementation of relevant systems to support both teaching and non-teaching staff perform their roles with confidence and efficiency.

Applicants will ideally possess excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills that allow them to build and maintain collaborative and respectful partnerships across the college and the wider community. It is highly sought after that applicants are committed to working with all levels of staff to support individualised improvement and extension. The ability to adapt with and enhance the use of technology in all administrative and learning areas would be highly regarded.

The college also offers an Aviation Program that is well-resourced, including the recent introduction of a high-end flight simulator. Students also have the option to complete a Certificate III in Auto Drone Piloting. There is also a variety of high-performance sports programs for students to develop their talents and increase engagement such as - Basketball, Soccer and Netball. The College Music Academy is expanding rapidly and again, highly regarded. The Harry Potter themed room supports and extends student literacy and problem-solving capacities via a variety of classes and courses and is treasured by many.

Kinross College has had expanding numbers over recent years and is the preferred public-school option. The college continues to upgrade its facilities, which support the future expansion in years 11 and 12. The college accepts TAFE International students and plays a vital role in supporting these students academically and socially into their new education system. The College is highly regarded for having the largest Police Cadets training program in the state, which also supports a strong outdoor education program

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position. 

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements:

  • Capacity to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings;
  • High level of interpersonal and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes;
  • Professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students (e.g. Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs).
  • Capacity to manage physical and financial resources.

  • complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;

  • complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
