The Role and our Branch
The Service Delivery Division is seeking to appoint a highly motivated Project Support Officer who is flexible and responsive, with strong communication skills to join their team.
The successful applicant will maintain project databases and systems, monitor and review administrative support data, identify risks and provide reports to senior management. You will also assess and respond to all requests for information and services resolving or escalating issues as appropriate.
The Project Support Officer develops customer relations and effective working relationships with internal and external clients to support the provision of a quality support service. Within this role you will also work within teams and across business units to ensure integrated service delivery to schools and the system. One of the projects you will support is the Department’s Third-Party Services Catalogue associated with the Students Online in Public Schools Policy. We are also involved in a range of projects and initiatives that you will support as needed.

Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role in supporting strategy and policy development.
Service Design and Support provides the shared functions and support needed to provide better services to schools. It also coordinates, implements, and supports programs, initiatives, and special projects. Its purpose is to provide strategy, policy, and program oversight and operational support to Statewide Services.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
- complete
- the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- training specific to this role required by Department policy; and
- the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
- the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
