The Role and our Branch
Financial Planning and Resourcing (FPR) is seeking a highly motivated Administrative Officer to join their team.

Reporting to the Director, you will provide administrative support to the management and staff of the Financial Planning and Resourcing directorate. To be suitable for this role, you will be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and will have experience in using electronic records management systems.
Part of the role will be maintaining an effective correspondence filing system for corporate information and preparing corporate documents in accordance with departmental protocols and style guides. Other responsibilities will include diary management, purchasing of goods and processing of accounts.
To succeed in this role, you will have good organisational and time management skills, as well as a professional, customer focussed and flexible approach when working with others.

We are responsible for key finance-related functions, including overall budget and resource management, cost and demand modelling, providing high-level strategic financial advice, school resourcing and financial management reporting.

1. Demonstrated experience in clerical and general administrative duties.
2. Demonstrated experience in purchasing, processing accounts for payment and monitoring expenditure for a work unit.
4. Demonstrated sound keyboarding and computer skills, including a working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, word processing and experience using an electronic records management system.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter.
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check if required
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
