The Business and Customer Services (BCS) Directorate is looking to recruit a highly motivated, passionate and committed Customer Support and Training Officer in the Corporate Information Services branch.

The Customer Support and Training Officer provides advice and guidance to Departmental staff in all areas of records management according to the approved Retention and Disposal Schedules, State Government General Disposal Authorities and Records Management policies and procedure. The position liaises with system users regarding operation of the Department’s Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS) and is responsible for effective delivery of training to agency employees.
The successful applicant will identify trends in customer records management enquiries, alert appropriate management and contribute to improving customer support. They will also provide regular statistical reporting on use of EDRMS and customer enquiries.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter.
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check if required
