John Forrest Secondary College (SC) is seeking an outstanding Humanities and Social Sciences teacher who possesses a deep understanding of the 7-12 curriculum, and has the passion and commitment to create a learning environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and a love for learning.

The ability to teach Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or General courses or to deliver certificate qualifications in Workplace Skills or Business, while not essential, would be highly beneficial.

We are seeking a teacher with strong interpersonal skills, enabling them to contribute positively to collaborative team environments, both within the learning area team and across the college. A focus on forming positive working relationships with colleagues, students and parents will underpin your practice, and the commitment to using data to inform the development of your contemporary evidence based professional practice is essential.

We offer a broad range of educational pathways that cater to diverse student needs and aspirations. These include delivery of endorsed programs, ATAR, General and Vocational Education and Training courses. Together with our broad range of co-curricular activities and clubs, this provides staff and students with opportunities to pursue and lead in their areas of passion and interest.

Our college community values education and thrives on diversity, valuing and celebrating the unique strengths of each individual. This foundation of inclusivity creates a culture of achievement and success where every member is supported and encouraged to excel.

As we reach the final stages of our extensive building redevelopment program, opportunities emerge to further enrich the already vibrant and dynamic learning experiences of both our students and staff.
