Appointment Pool
Maidens Park Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2024. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year, up to the end of Term 2, 2024.

About the role
The suitable applicants will ideally be outstanding classroom practitioners committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for every child through our whole-school approaches, explicit teaching, and instructional strategies.
We seek innovative applicants with high-quality teaching skills and knowledge. Suitable applicants should possess a strong capacity to plan differentiated, integrated and engaging programs and an excellent understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum. They will use data literacy to monitor ongoing student progress and support every child to achieve their full potential.
Student well-being is a high priority of our school. Our school
Maidens Park PS became an Independent Public School in 2014 and is located in the suburb of Withers in Bunbury, Western Australia. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
