Appointment Pool 

Are you a talented educator skilled at adjusting your teaching strategies and programs to meet the individual and diverse needs of students?

Belmont City College are seeking to establish a pool of English Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year, up to the end of Term 2, 2024. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year, up to the end of Term 2, 2024.

Suitable applicants will ideally have an understanding of the Years 7 to 10 WA Curriculum and Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) English courses and the ability to successfully develop and deliver programs in this area. We are seeking teachers who are student and relationship focused, enthusiastic and innovative with the capacity to provide engaging, relevant, and meaningful experiences while catering for diverse student learning needs.

Suitable applicants should exhibit that they integrate a growth mindset into their teaching and their approach to young people. Teachers with experience teaching Year 12 Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) English are strongly encouraged to apply.

Suitable applicants should have the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and will have the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to our school community. They should utilise best classroom practice whilst employing a range of assessment and reporting methods.   • complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
  • complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.

The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
