This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2023.
Westfield Park Primary School (PS) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with a parallel Years 5 and 6 Teacher in delivering an engaging curriculum and preparing the Year 6 students for transition to High School.
Westfield Park PS received a 5-year return at its last Independent Public School (IPS) school review in Term 4, 2021 and won the WA Mentally Healthy Education Award in 2022.

We are looking for a passionate, committed, flexible Primary Teacher with a strong pedagogical knowledge. It is highly desirable that applicants are committed to developing positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community and have an understanding of trauma informed practice.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
