The Role and our Branch
Non-Government School Regulation is seeking to appoint a highly motivated Senior Regulation Officer to join their supportive team.

The role of a Senior Regulation Officer is to contribute high level knowledge and expertise to the Non-Government School Regulation Directorate, which oversees the registration of non-government schools in Western Australia.
Registration provides assurance to parents and the community that non-government schools meet the registration standards determined by the Minister for Education and Training and other requirements specified in the School Education Act 1999 and the School Education Regulations 2000. This Directorate also oversees the registration of community-based courses and schools which are registered to enrol international student visa holders.
The successful applicant will be expected to provide a high standard of customer service and advice in relation to registration matters.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance before commencing employment
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
- complete
- the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- training specific to this role required by Department policy; and
- the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
