Halls Head College is seeking to appoint a dedicated, organised and highly motivated Executive Support Officer (ESO) to join their friendly team.
As the ESO you will assist in managing and coordinating daily administrative operations including provision of administrative support to the Principal and Executive Team. This role involves meeting preparation including the taking of minutes. Ideally you will have excellent time management and organisational skills to meet the growing demands of the College. The successful applicant should possess excellent interpersonal skills to provide support across a range of executive systems and procedures, as well as the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
The role is varied and wide ranging including the coordination of VIP’s, links with external College partners, working closely with the School Board, as well as liaising effectively with all College stakeholders. The successful applicant will also contribute to the development and implementation of school events and assist with Human Resources and Recruitment within the school. Applicants with experience in personal computer software applications, knowledge and understanding of Public Sector Standards and Human Resources and Recruitment policies are encouraged to apply. An excellent working knowledge of the following programs would be highly desirable: Saron Education Quality Teachers Assistant (SEQTA), Human Resources Management System (HRMIS), Recruitment Advertising Management System (RAMS), Teachers Registration Board WA (TRBWA), Council and Boards Register (CAB).

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- Sound administration and organisational skills with considerable experience in the delivery of administration support services, including the ability to provide executive support to School Executives.
- Sound working knowledge and understanding of human resource and recruitment procedures and the Public Sector Standards.
- Sound written, oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with senior positions, internal and external clients on a wide range of issues.
- Sound research, conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to use initiative to identify priorities and meet conflicting timelines.
- Relevant experience in the use of personal computer software applications, including MS Word, Outlook and Excel, with the ability to produce reports from computerised applications.

Eligibility and training requirements
Employees will be required to:
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
- Complete the Department’s induction program within 3 months of commencement
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- Complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within 6 months of appointment
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course; and
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
