The Role and our Branch
Asset Planning and Services is seeking a highly motivated Lands Support Officer to join their team.

This role will assist the team preparing documents in accordance with policies, procedures and guidelines that relate to the registration of interests on crown and freehold land such as transfers, contracts of sale, easements, discharges, deeds of licence and leases. You will also monitor actual financial information against approved land acquisition budgets and ensures proper, accurate and comprehensible financial information is produced for stakeholders.
You will have demonstrated experience in preparing land transfer documents and good understanding and experience of the process for arranging payments to land settlement agencies. You will also need experience in asset management information systems, records management and the use of word processing and spreadsheet packages. Experience in accounting, budgeting and resource management is required.

1. Demonstrated experience in preparing land transfer documents together with the processes for arranging payments to land settlement agencies.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of the Financial Management Act 2006, Regulations and Treasurer’s Instructions and experience in accounting, budgeting or resource management.
6. Demonstrated experience in asset management information systems, records management and the use of word processing and spreadsheet packages.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance before commencing employment
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
- complete
- the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- training specific to this role required by Department policy; and
- the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
