This is a permanent part-time (0.8FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2023.
Warnbro Community High School (WCHS) is seeking a highly motivated and effective Teacher - Students At Educational Risk to join their team.

This role is situated in our LINCS (Literacy and Numeracy Intervention) team. Teachers in our LINCS program work intensively with Year 7 and 8 students who are 3 or more years below grade level using a range of commercial Direct Instruction programs as well as explicit direct instruction. The successful candidate will have high expectations, exhibit a commitment to excellence, and the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment.

Experience in adapting and modifying teaching practices and programs to cater for all students whilst teaching across a range of subject areas would be highly regarded. Primary-trained teachers are encouraged to apply.
Situated 50 km south of Perth, WCHS is located in the beach-side communities of Warnbro and Port Kennedy. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
