The Role and our Branch
The Infrastructure Division is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Contract Manager to oversee the WA Schools Public Private Partnership (PPP) contract in the Capital Works and Maintenance directorate. The PPP contract comprises 8 schools that are designed, built, financed and maintained under a PPP procurement model.

The Contract Manager – WA Schools Public Private Partnership will oversee the operations phase of the WA Schools PPP Project.
Ideally, the successful applicant has:
- expertise in complex contract management
- the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and to build collaborative working relationships
- experience in facilities management
- critical thinking and negotiation skills
- an ability to lead a team.
Providing advice and support to schools in respect of the PPP contract is a very important part of the role so the successful applicant will have experience in client management.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance before commencing employment
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
- complete
- the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- training specific to this role required by Department policy; and
- the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
