Appointment Pool
Beeliar Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of innovative and enthusiastic Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2024. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year, up to the end of Term 2, 2024.
We are seeking teachers who pursue excellence in teaching, have high expectations, and who truly believe that all children can learn and be successful.
Suitable applicants should be committed to putting students first in their decision-making and provide purposeful and relevant learning experiences that cater for differentiated student learning needs as outlined in the WA Curriculum.
We are looking for teachers who have a commitment to plan and engage in professional learning activities that support a whole school approach and systemic priorities. You will ideally deliver motivating and quality educational programs and believe that exemplary, evidence-based teaching practices lead to successful students and high standards of achievement.
Part of this role will involve using a range of assessment and reporting methods that show student achievement in relation to learning outcomes and commitment to plan and engage in professional learning activities that support school and systemic priorities. Suitable applicants should be highly motivated, energetic and possess the qualities to promote excellence, build effective teams, and implement innovative curriculum.
A Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program commenced in 2022 and is being progressed across the Year 4 to 6 classes. Other programs in operation at the school include Spelling Master in Years 3 to 6 Initial Lit in K-2, and Prime Mathematics.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
