Teacher Registration is seeking a highly motivated Qualification Officer to join their team.

With a strong stakeholder focus, the Qualifications Officer undertakes assessments for qualifications equivalence which are of a complex nature and assists in the administrative processes associated with the consideration of qualifications by the Teacher Registration Board of WA (Board) and determination of these matters.
The Qualification Officer applies relevant expertise to liaise appropriately with applicants and ensures that processes adhere to the applicable legislation and policy framework. The Qualification Officer also provides support for the Board’s administration of its scheme of accreditation of initial teacher education programs.

- Demonstrated initiative and well developed organisational skills, including the ability to deliver outcomes on schedule.
- Demonstrated well-developed oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders, clients and colleagues on issues relevant to teacher registration.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance before commencing employment
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
- complete
- the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- training specific to this role required by Department policy; and
- the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
