The Role and our Branch
The Statewide Services Division is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and organised Executive Assistant to provide support to the Executive Director, Statewide Services.
The Statewide Services Division provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It is currently transitioning to a new service delivery model to strengthen its services and supports to schools and the education system.

In this key role you will provide high-level administrative, ministerial, and executive support to the Executive Director, Statewide Services in relation to the operations of the Division. This may include:
- managing enquiries and requests
- scheduling appointments
- coordinating correspondence, Ministerial responses and briefing notes
- coordinating travel and accommodation requirements
- paying accounts and organising corporate card statements and payment vouchers
To perform successfully in the role, candidates should have strong organisational and communication skills. Candidates will need to manage a challenging and diverse workload, requiring them to prioritise, innovate and make sound decisions.

Your written application will be assessed against the following Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated considerable knowledge and experience in the delivery of high-level administration support services, including the ability to provide executive support to senior managers.
- Demonstrated sound oral and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with senior managers and internal and external clients on a wide range of issues.
- Demonstrated sound written communication skills with the ability to prepare correspondence, minutes, responses to Ministerial requests and briefing notes.
- Demonstrated sound financial management skills with the ability to interpret, report and apply financial practices and procedures.
- Demonstrated sound research, conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use initiative to identify priorities and meet conflicting timelines.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance before commencing employment
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
- complete

- the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- training specific to this role required by Department policy; and
- the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
