Wanneroo Secondary College (SC) is seeking to establish a pool of Science Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year.
Ideally, Suitable applicants will be dedicated and highly motivated educators with the ability to provide high quality teaching and learning programs to meet the needs of our students. Suitable applicants should have excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum; be able to deliver content in an engaging manner; have sound interpersonal and communication skills and be a highly effective team member. Students at Wanneroo SC are passionate about science as a result of the engaging programs offered by staff. The ability to teach Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Chemistry and/or Certificate in Nursing will be highly regarded.
Our teaching and support staff are highly skilled, motivated and determined to provide the very best educational and personal outcomes for every student. The academic progress and general wellbeing of each student is closely monitored, providing students with essential social, emotional and academic support and guidance. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
