The Role and our Branch
The Service Design and Support - Statewide Services Division is seeking an organised and customer orientated Project Support Officer to join their team.

In this role, you will provide administrative and logistical support and ensure the collation and maintenance of document management activities. You will provide information advice and support to Western Australian public schools regarding the use of third-party software applications to ensure that the disclosure of students’ personal information is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
As the Project Support Officer, you will have strong ICT skills and competencies and you will be responsible for maintaining databases and systems and completing privacy and security risk assessments related to keeping children’s data safe online. The role requires a high level of customer service engagement and experience in creating and maintaining complex Microsoft Forms and Excel spreadsheets is desirable.
Who we are
Statewide Services provides the services and supports required schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While the branch primarily exists to support schools, we also have an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development.
Service Design and Support provides the shared functions and support needed to provide better services to schools. It also coordinates, implements and supports programs, initiatives, and special projects. Its purpose is to provide strategy, policy and program oversight and operational support to Statewide Services.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance before commencing employment
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
- complete
- the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- training specific to this role required by Department policy; and
- the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
