About the Role
The successful applicant will work in an environment characterised by whole school connected practice, a strong commitment to explicit teaching, professional growth and collaborative team structures. The successful applicant will provide engaging, relevant and meaningful teaching and learning programs to students.
Effective classroom management knowledge and skills (CMS) and having an understanding of and the capacity to utilise explicit high impact instructional strategies in their approach to teaching and learning is highly regarded. The successful applicant will have an understanding of appropriate assessments and be able to use data to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching programs, set targets and plan for differentiated learning opportunities for all students in their class. To be successful for this role, you will possess a high level of interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff members and implement whole school approaches within the school’s business and operational plans.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
