About the Role
The successful applicant will be joining a progressive and enthusiastic team of teachers who are engaged in implementing a whole school approach to the educational programs offered in the school.
The Ideal Teacher
The successful applicant should have a passion for Mathematics and have the ability to implement instructional strategies that maximise students’ engagement in their learning and motivate both junior and senior school students to achieve to their full potential. You will ideally be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collegially with other staff.
The successful applicant will ideally have the ability to provide high-quality teaching and learning programs to meet the needs of our students. You should have an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and be able to teach students of varying ability levels, differentiating the curriculum across Year 7 to 12 in a highly engaging manner. You will ideally have experience in teaching senior secondary Mathematics and possess strong skills and experience in teaching Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Mathematics.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
