Dalyellup College is seeking to appoint an energetic and motivated individual to fill the role of Program Coordinator - Student Services.
We are seeking applicants who are passionate about education, who are collaborative, effective communicators with parents, staff and students and engaging educators. The successful applicant will promote an environment of active and positive learning, as well as provide educational opportunities and activities which enable all students to achieve their highest potential. The successful applicant will ideally have experience in a Student Services role, or similar leadership role, providing support and line management to staff. Support for students in managing their behaviour and the provision of pastoral care for students will be paramount. You will ideally have a strong understanding of multi-tiered systems of support and capacity to proactively plan to meet the diverse needs of our students and feed back information about the planning and monitoring to all stakeholders.
This role will include a teaching component. The successful applicant should possess a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive and engaging classroom learning environment. Innovation and flexibility will ensure you are a best fit for the College. Our school uses Explicit Instruction and is committed to building teacher expertise in CMS.
Dalyellup College is located 10 kilometres south of Bunbury in the Capel Shire. It is a relatively new school in the Bunbury region, having separated from Dalyellup Primary School (PS) in 2013 to become a Year 7 to 12 secondary facility and an Independent Public School. Dalyellup College is also part of an Independent Public School Cluster, which includes Dalyellup PS and Tuart Forest PS. All our staff are highly motivated individuals who work collaboratively for the common good of the students. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements:
- Capacity to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings.
- High level of interpersonal and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes.
- Professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students (e.g. Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs).
- Capacity to manage physical and financial resources.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Hold a recognised qualification in teaching and be currently registered or eligible for registration to teach in Western Australia;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course;
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- Complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
