Tuart Hill Primary School (PS) is seeking a flexible, enthusiastic and committed Manager Corporate Services to join our leadership team. We are a rapidly growing school and you will play a crucial role in helping establish a positive culture that ensures students are supported to achieve personal success through a collaborative and whole-child focus approach. The successful applicant should ideally have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, sound human management skills and knowledge of the strategic administration requirements within a primary school setting. You should possess high level financial management skills and will ideally have knowledge of, and experience in, SIS finance applications RM Finance, Asset Manager and RM Billing. You will be responsible for ensuring all audit requirements are followed, providing consistency in financial planning and budgeting within the school and ensuring the school complies with all Department of Education policies and relevant legislation.
Being a rapidly growing school, you will play a key role in refining our financial, administration and organisational practices for our growing school which requires the application of conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills. Our school requires people to be flexible and prepared to assist in any way possible. You will need to work in partnership with the school’s leadership team and other staff to support the continuing growing student population.
As part of this role, you will manage the school’s reception area as part of an effective responsive team, providing a high level of customer service to our community. The Manager Corporate Services interacts regularly with staff, students and families, so well developed customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are highly regarded. As a leader you will be required to provide leadership and support to our school’s cleaning and gardening staff.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- Leadership skills in the delivery of business outcomes and sound customer service principles and practices.
- Well-developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to use effective negotiation skills.
- Sound financial management skills, including budget preparation and the ability to interpret and apply financial and accounting practices and procedures.
- Sound human resource management skills, including the ability to develop and/or apply human resource management practices and systems.
- Ability to provide input into the development, implementation and monitoring of business and marketing plans.
- Sound conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills.

Eligibility and training requirements
Employees will be required to:
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course; and
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
