This role of Administrative Assistant supports two thriving business areas at Statewide Services, the Service Allocation, Prioritisation and Coordination branch and the Service Response branch. These are core service delivery business areas responsible for providing services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement and educational outcomes, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most.
This position will provide clerical and administrative support to both work areas. Key duties involve coordinating and booking travel, records management for sensitive student records, managing payments and acquittals, and supporting professional learning events.

This is a permanent role which will provide you with a fantastic opportunity for work life balance located in the northern Perth suburb of Padbury.
As the successful applicant, you will prepare, process and deliver incoming and outgoing correspondence, action routine matters by drafting responses and prepare basic reports. You will maintain an effective correspondence filing system for corporate information and records relating to projects, initiatives, committees and other activities.
In the role of Administrative Assistant, you will prepare and distribute meeting agendas and minutes and undertake follow up actions when required. You will manage incoming telephone calls, visitor enquiries, diary appointments, meetings, emails and other communications along with assisting with travel arrangements, including preparing travel documents, booking flights and accommodation. You will assist with the preparation of the budget, payment of accounts, credit card reconciliation, monitoring expenditure and preparing reports as required.

Your written application will be assessed against the following Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite in clerical and general administrative duties, including advanced word processing skills and proficiency with spreadsheets and databases and experience using an electronic records management system.
- Demonstrated good written, oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of individuals and provide customer-focussed services.
- Demonstrated experience in purchasing, processing accounts for payment and monitoring expenditure for a work unit.
- Demonstrated initiative and good organisational skills with the ability to meet competing priorities in a fast-paced business environment.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:

- the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
