Rossmoyne Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a creative and innovative Visual Arts - Media Teacher to join our friendly and support team.
This is a permanent part time position, initially commencing at 0.50 FTE, however it is possible that the FTE may increase based on the business needs of the school.
The successful applicant will ideally be an experienced Media teacher who is a team player, looking for a challenge and who will be committed to working effectively within the Arts Learning Area. You should utilise your motivational and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and create an engaging learning environment for students in the Arts classroom.
The successful applicant should possess excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills which will be used to develop and promote the schools values, ethos and priorities across the community. They should build positive relationships, focus on creating positive futures for students and have a real care and consideration for students.
They should possess highly effective teaching practices and a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice. A strong knowledge of the curriculum area and ongoing and proven success in teaching Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Media Production and Analysis is highly desirable.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
