The Standards and Integrity Directorate is seeking to appoint a reliable and motivated individual to join their team in the role of Consultant Integrity Education.

The successful applicant will draw upon previous knowledge and understanding of legislation, frameworks and policies to provide a consultancy service, including operational information and advice, to Departmental staff relating to risk, misconduct management and the public sector Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making training program. Applicants with strong written and verbal communication skills are encouraged to apply as you will design, develop and present professional learning programs, including face to face and online presentations to teachers, pre-service teachers and allied professionals within the Department. Whilst working within a highly demanding environment we are seeking an individual who is able to work well in a small, but significant team, adapt to change and work under pressure to achieve desired outcomes.

Your written application will be assessed against the following Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated well developed written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to design and deliver presentations to a variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated well developed oral and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to deliver services across a range of internal and external sites and with a variety of stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated well developed research skills and the ability to interpret legislation and policy and develop and implement a range of strategies and initiatives related to risk and misconduct management.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance before commencing employment and yearly thereafter.
- complete a declaration prior to employment and annually thereafter disclosing any previous disciplinary findings, criminal charges or convictions, and ongoing conflicts of interest
- provide a statement from previous employer/s with regard to any disciplinary findings
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
- complete
- the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- training specific to this role required by Department policy; and
- the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
