Ellenbrook Secondary College (SC) is seeking a dedicated Technologies - Computing Teacher to join their team.
Ellenbrook SC is an Independent Public School catering for students from Year 7 to Year 12 on a modern campus. The successful applicant will ideally be an experienced, collaborative teacher in Digital Technologies/Computing, (however, early-career teachers are encouraged to apply) as well as being flexible and adaptive to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction. Ellenbrook SC has implemented a whole school Instructional Framework – “Instructional Intelligences” that all teachers use. The ability and experience in teaching across a wide variety of courses from Year 7 – 12 including cyber security, coding, graphic design, information technology and ATAR Computer Science with experience in teaching STEM and/or Business would also be beneficial. The successful applicant should possess the professional knowledge, understanding and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary Digital Technologies curriculum. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and the ability to deliver Certificate courses is also desirable but not essential.
The successful applicant will ideally possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community. They will build positive relationships with their students and communicate with parents as required.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
