Carine Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dance Teacher to join their friendly team.
The successful applicant will ideally be a passionate and dedicated educator and highly motivated to work in a collaborative team environment. They will provide students with a purposeful and engaging learning experience to develop their skills, knowledge, and understandings related to Dance, supported by a variety of approaches to learning.
The successful applicant should be student and relationship focused, enthusiastic, innovative, and motivated with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. As part of a dedicated team, you will be required to develop, review, and deliver Dance curriculum. You will engage in ongoing self-reflection and assess the effectiveness of practice to create environment conducive to learning and provide educational opportunities that are purposeful and relevant, catering for different student learning needs.
The successful applicant will ideally possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to provide engaging, relevant, and meaningful learning. You will ideally be innovative, knowledgeable, and possess thorough understandings of instructional and curriculum expertise whilst keeping abreast of the latest developments within the Learning Area. You should have high expectations, display a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies, and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive and engaging classroom-learning environment. You will ideally be able to display an ability to work as a collaborative team member and be committed to the development of strong professional learning communities focussed on student achievement and success.
Carine SHS is an Independent Public School and school of choice in the northern suburbs of Perth. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
