Appointment Pool
Dalyellup College are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year.
Suitable applicants should have a passion for Secondary Education and the desire to impart their skills and knowledge as a member of our college. You will ideally need to be self-motivated, prepared to enthusiastically embrace new opportunities and work proactively within our community.
Suitable applicants should also ideally have an excellent capacity to communicate clearly and concisely with staff, students and the community and be able to articulate a clear vision that complements and supports the College’s excellent culture in teaching and learning. You will ideally have displayed successes when teaching students in Visual Arts, as well as the capacity to evaluate and improve your own performance through careful reflection. You should have the ability to teach across a number of contexts within the Arts area.
Suitable applicants should have the ability to work collaboratively to plan and implement effective teaching and learning plans. Applicants will ideally provide excellence in creating and maintaining supportive and safe learning environment and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve their highest potential.

Dalyellup College features contemporary, state-of-the-art facilities located in the community of Dalyellup on the outskirts of Bunbury in the Capel Shire. It is an Independent Public School catering for approximately 800 secondary students from Year 7-12. The community of Dalyellup (‘a village in the forest by the sea’) is growing, with new land and homes being built. The College forms part of an Independent Public Schools Cluster together with Dalyellup Primary School, Tuart Forest Primary School and Capel Primary School.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
