Our School
Jungdranung RCS is a small, well-resourced school in the scenic East Kimberley. Students are keen to learn and capable, and parents and caregivers are supportive. The surrounding countryside offers opportunities for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits such as fishing, bush walking, exploring, photography and bird watching.
Our school is part of the Kimberley Schools Project (KSP) and you will have access to the Professional Learning and coaching this provides.
The Location and Community
Jungdranung RCS is located 132 km south east of Kununurra in Miriwoong tribal land in the beautiful countryside of East Kimberley. Our school lies amidst the spectacular Ragged Range in the Mandangala Community on Glen Hill Station. Opened as a 'Special Aboriginal School' in 1984, the small school is an integral part of the community.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
