Appointment Pool
We are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year.
Manning Primary School (PS) are seeking applicants who are motivated and possess high quality teaching skills and knowledge. Suitable applicants will ideally be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, support current whole-school processes and engage in collaborative planning.
Suitable applicants should have the ability to inspire students to develop an enthusiasm for learning in vibrant, engaging and supportive classrooms. The ability to build effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community is highly desirable. Applicants should possess a strong capacity to plan challenging and engaging programs using a deep understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum.
Manning PS is an Explicit Direct Instruction (EDI) school and evidence-based programs such as Talk4Writing, Letters & Sounds and Heggerty are employed. We enjoy a strong sense of community, with commitment to collaboration being a priority. Familiarity with our school’s pedagogical practices and the ability to add value to the aforementioned areas is desirable.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
