Appointment Pool
Corporate Information Services is seeking to establish a pool of Consultant Recordkeeping for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2022 and up to the end of 2023. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within 2022. up to the end of 2023.
The Role and our Branch
Suitable applicants will develop and provide training and awareness in Records Management and recordkeeping responsibilities to ensure consistency and accuracy in relation to the Department’s Recordkeeping Plan and Policy. They will assist with the promotion of records awareness, records management and available training state-wide, and, provide state-wide consultancy and advice to Departmental staff on the requirements of the State Records Act 2000 and improving business processes through better information management. The Consultant Recordkeeping is responsible for monitoring and identifying trends and issues which impact initiatives relevant to the functions and activities associated with the Recordkeeping Plan and related Acts, legislation and guidelines.

Your written application will be assessed against the following Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated practical experience with an Electronic Document and Records Management System and the ability to design and deliver training programs, workshops and presentations.
- Demonstrated practical knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing state government recordkeeping.
- Demonstrated well developed analytical and conceptual skills, including the ability to provide innovative solutions to strategic and complex problems and issues.
- Demonstrated well developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills with an ability to liaise effectively with individuals at all levels and prepare clear and concise reports.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance before commencing employment
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
- complete
- the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- training specific to this role required by Department policy; and
- the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
