Appointment Pool
Malvern Springs Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year.
The school holds the principles of high expectations, effective teaching, student and staff wellbeing, parental and community involvement and whole school approaches.
Malvern Springs PS uses high impact teaching strategies in a professional environment where whole school pedagogies, practices, and programs are used to maximise impact on student learning. Suitable applicants should have a collaborative whole school approach and be able to deliver programs such as Talk for Writing, Spelling Mastery, Let’s Decode and Back to Front Maths. Teachers also should be data literate and respond to data in ways that support student learning. The school values continual growth of teachers through classroom observation, coaching, action learning, feedback and on-going professional learning. Applicants who manage students with disabilities and challenging behaviours in ways that preserve the integrity of the child are highly regarded.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
