Kapinara Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of experienced, enthusiastic Primary Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2023. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year, up to the end of Term 4, 2023.
We are seeking positive, enthusiastic teachers who are passionate about teaching and supporting each and every child to be the best version of themselves each day. Suitable applicants will also demonstrate a genuine commitment to their own personal and professional development.
Competitive applicants will have outstanding personal and social skills and be committed to working collaboratively with others to achieve strong, positive outcomes for students, the school and the school community. They will consistently model high expectations of themselves and others and maintain a very clear focus on the attainment of our school community’s vision for students – resilient children who treat themselves and others with respect, behave with integrity, think critically and creatively and develop a love of learning.
You will be expected to implement whole school, evidence-based practices with fidelity, to maximise students’ ability to attain high levels of achievement; make excellent progress; and develop skills, strategies and dispositions that support their wellbeing. Your planning will reflect a deep knowledge and understanding of the children you teach – their strengths, individual needs and interests. It will also be informed by a range of data and a sound understanding of the WA Curriculum. The implementation of educational programs will reflect your ability to embed contemporary pedagogies and assessment practices.
We are currently developing our 2023-2025 Business Plan, which in addition to the provision of high-quality teaching and positive, inclusive learning environments, will also reflect the following focuses identified by the school community: sustainability, inclusivity, wellbeing, reconciliation, STEM skills, and community engagement. We particularly welcome those with a desire to lead teams or initiatives.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
