Appointment Pool
We are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year.
Suitable applicants will ideally have outstanding curriculum knowledge with experience in evidence based, explicit and assessment focussed teaching. They should also have a collaborative whole school approach with the ability to continually upskill themselves and others. Experience in implementing Sounds-Write, Spelling Mastery, Oxford Maths and Heggerty Phonemic Awareness with fidelity will be highly beneficial.
Suitable applicants should be committed, proactive teachers, dedicated to shaping the future of our children. They will ideally be highly collaborative, team-oriented individuals who are supportive of colleagues and positively engage and connect with all staff. We strive to develop a strong relationship with our community and an individual who has the ability to engage positively with parents is highly desirable. We also seek teachers with a positive outlook on all situations, someone who is willing to have a laugh in the times that they are needed, and to spread that joy to their fellow staff members.
Mundaring Primary School is at the start of a 3 year improvement journey. We will be designing a new Strategic Plan for 2023-2025 and aligning our priorities to our involvement in the Fogarty EdVance program from 2023 onwards. We are wanting to add to our already collaborative staff with new staff that will add value to all areas of the school. Mundaring Primary School is located approximately 40 kilometres east of Perth on Stevens Street. Our school opened at this site in 1990 after moving from the original site on Great Eastern Highway and celebrated its centenary in November 2007. Our school is characterised as being community and environmentally friendly. It has a small country school feel yet is large enough to offer a range of options and facilities, catering for approximately 300 students. The school is nestled in a tranquil bush setting among the trees with grassed play areas, an oval, cricket nets, basketball/netball/ courts and extensive playground equipment.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the):

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
