Appointment Pool
Our Communications directorate is establishing a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise between now and the end of September 2023. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements up to the end of September 2023.

- Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement
- Campaigns and Projects
- Digital Content

How to apply
You will be required to submit a two-page written statement addressing the selection criteria for each level you wish to apply for. Details of the roles, key responsibilities and selection criteria can be found in the attached Job Description Framework.
If you are applying for the pool across two levels, you will require two written statements – one for each level. Please clearly mark on your written statement which level you are applying for.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to participate in a further assessment which will be an online interview. If you are shortlisted for multiple levels, all will be assessed in one interview.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance before commencing employment
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
- complete
- the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- training specific to this role required by Department policy; and
- the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
