Appointment Pool
Collie Senior High School (SHS) are seeking to establish a pool of Information Technology Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year.

Suitable applicants will ideally be able to engage students in the Technology Enterprise (T&E) Learning Area and will ideally have strong curriculum knowledge to ensure our students will reach their full potential. Knowledge of the Western Australian (WA) curriculum planning, delivery and assessment are desireable for this position. You should also be able to display an ability to provide a safe, efficient and effective practical learning environment within the context of T&E.
Suitable applicants will ideally possess excellent interpersonal skills and be relationship focussed and able to provide engaging, relevant and meaningful learning. Suitable applicants will ideally be innovative, knowledgeable and possess thorough understandings of instructional and curriculum expertise whilst keeping abreast of the latest developments within the Learning Area. You should be reflective in assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice and able to cultivate a safe and accountable learning environment.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current department of education criminal record clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current working with children check;
- Meet the department of education teacher qualifications and registration requirements; and
- Complete the department’s aboriginal cultural appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
