The Role and our Branch
The Professional Standards and Conduct Division is seeking a Program Manager interested in innovation and new technologies, such as Microsoft Power BI, to join the team.

The Program Manager will provide strategic and tactical leadership to successfully develop and implement an information systems audit program over the coming year. This will support extracting data from a variety of Department information systems, cleansing large amounts of data, analysing the audit’s data to identify key risks and insights, and then visualising the audit’s data to present findings and recommendations in a user-friendly way to management.
The Risk and Assurance Directorate reports directly to the Director General through the Audit and Risk Committee. The directorate ensures control and governance processes are effective and delivers high-level expertise, with an emphasis on a quality audit program that addresses organisational accountability and supports a broad client need.

1. Demonstrated highly developed skills in leading and developing teams, including guiding and mentoring staff in strategic planning and audit processes and procedures and ability to coordinate and deliver strategic outcomes.
2. Demonstrated extensive knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework, standards and best practice methodologies that apply to auditing information systems.
5. Demonstrated highly developed analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deliver innovative solutions to strategic and complex problems and issues.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance before commencing employment
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
- hold a current Western Australian Driver’s Licence
- be available to travel throughout the metropolitan area and in regional locations
- complete
- the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- training specific to this role required by Department policy; and
- the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
