If so, Jarrahdale Primary School (JPS) is seeking a dedicated and professional Primary Teacher to be part of our team.

We are seeking an organised and proactive team member who will ideally be eager to take on the challenges of a multi-age classroom, using data informed practice to plan and teach an engaging curriculum. Knowledge and experience in explicit instruction and a growth mindset would be highly regarded, as would knowledge of programs such as Sounds Write, Talk4 Writing, Mathletics and Origo.
The successful applicant will engage in and build productive and positive working relationships with parents, students, colleagues and the broader community, to strive towards achieving our vision and values (as outlined in our ‘Business Plan 2021-2023’) to improve outcomes of all students. JPS is situated in the beautiful town site of Jarrahdale, a small, vibrant community with a country feel. Taking advantage of our semi-rural location, we teach our students to care for, interact with and enhance our environment through our Earth Aware Days, outdoor classrooms, and involvement in local activities such as Tree Planting Day, Clean Up Australia, and Ribbons of Blue.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
