Bob Hawke College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Arts Teacher specialising in Digital Media to join their invested team.
We are looking for an applicant with ideally outstanding communication and interpersonal skills who is committed to achieving exceptional educational outcomes for all students. These skills will see you negotiate effectively and build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels as we build this vibrant and innovative College. The willingness or ability to work cross curricular with in the Arts is desirable as the team works closely together to establish programs. Stage II is scheduled to open in 2023, with purpose built Arts studios and complimentary Arts facilities. The successful applicant will play an important role in visioning and developing an exemplary Digital Media program in this new facility and will be able to demonstrate proficiency in using and teaching industry standard programs.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment.
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement.
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
