Cecil Andrews College is seeking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Mathematics teacher to join our quality team.

Mathematics is heavily resourced with explicit tools, online learning platforms, and resources that complement the delivery of our programs and improve Numeracy school-wide.
The successful applicant will ideally be flexible, with the ability to work collaboratively with all staff to build strong relationships within the school community and achieve the best outcomes for all students.
The successful applicant should possess the professional knowledge, understanding, and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant Mathematics curriculum through a fine-grained program that highlights the critical content and is relevant to student needs and interests.
The ability to access data to differentiate curriculum and implement innovative approaches to improve outcomes for both high and low-achieving students is a key element of this position. You should build positive relationships, focus on students' strengths and harness your passion for educating our students to find their future pathways.
Cecil Andrews College provides exemplary education to children from Year 7 to Year 12. We provide programs to support a wide range of students, fostering pathways to university, TAFE, further training, and the workplace.
The college is well resourced and the commitment to fostering meaningful development opportunities between students, staff, and the community is well known and acknowledged within the district. In Mathematics there is growth in Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) and Senior School courses being offered which provides potential opportunities for the successful applicant.

Our academic extension program is also setting new standards for the area and specially trained teachers are creating challenging learning opportunities so each child can meet their potential and become successful in their field of endeavour.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances, where this position becomes subsequently vacant, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
