WA College Of Agriculture - Narrogin (WACOA – Narrogin) is seeking to appoint a motivated individual to fill the role of Technical Officer - Agriculture - Cropping and join their friendly team.
The college requires a person with agricultural experience to train students in competencies within agriculture and its related industries. The successful applicant will ideally have cropping and pasture knowledge and farm mechanics as desirable skills. The successful applicant will be required to train young people in the competencies of agricultural instruction leading to the completion of certificates.
The college is an education facility 6 km from a regional town with good recreational facilities and shopping. The college has a friendly and professional staffing team and team. The Department of Education provides further professional training to successful applicants.
The WACOA – Narrogin has a long and proud history of servicing the agricultural community of Western Australia. Established in 1906, Narrogin is the oldest agricultural College in the state and consistently ranks in the Top Public Schools for Vocational Education and Training. Students in Year 10 to 12 enrol from all over the state and the majority board on site in attractive residential facilities with individual air conditioned rooms.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
Please note: The salary level for this position will be determined after the successful applicant is assessed as addressing all eligibility and selection criteria indicated in the relevant attached JDF in the context of the outcomes and selection criteria described.
The highest rate an applicant can start at as a L1 is Level 1.4 (as negotiated with the principal). However, applicants may still be able to commence at a L2.1 or L3.1 if suitably qualified or with requisite experience.
Level 2, $62,172 - $67,256 per annum (PSCA 2019)
Level 3, $70,896 - $76,717 per annum (PSCA 2019)
