This is a three (3) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 4, 2022 with possible extension and/or permanency
The successful applicant will ideally show the professional knowledge, practices and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary school English curriculum. As part of this role you will engage and build productive working relationships with students and be involved collaboratively with your colleagues to improve student results.
The successful applicant will ideally have the ability to work collaboratively to plan and implement effective teaching and learning plans. Applicants will ideally provide excellence in creating and maintaining supportive and safe learning environment and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve their highest potential.
With effective interpersonal skills, the successful applicant will work closely with students, colleagues and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students. Ideally, the successful applicant will challenge and confront complex and conventional practices to provide successful outcomes for students, and continually reflect on their own practices to enhance performance. The ability to adapt with and utilise technology within the English learning area would be highly regarded.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
