Anzac Terrace Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual to fill the role of Manager Corporate Services (MCS) and join their friendly team.
The successful applicant will display effective interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence with an ability to develop constructive, respectful and positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community.
The MCS works as part of the school leadership team, particularly relating to targeted use of resources and workforce planning. The successful applicant will ideally have excellent organisational and communication skills. They should have a previous work history of working effectively as part of a team. They should have the ability to work with all school stakeholders to develop strong community relationships and links with staff, students and families.
A knowledge of Student-Centred Funding, RM Finance including Billing, the Education Department Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS), Staff Performance Management and a high-level financial management skill with a solid analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills is highly desirable. The successful applicant will administer and report on the financial integrity of the school's business operations.
Anzac Terrace PS offers a comprehensive primary education for children from Kindy to Year 6 and is situated at the western end of the Town of Bassendean.
We continually strive to teach the “whole student” through a strong focus on literacy and numeracy development, having developed core curricula to explicitly support these learning areas. We have a strong pastoral care program, emphasising positive behaviours, values and social skills. The school has an outstanding Visual Arts program and both a Junior and Senior Choir who perform for local groups and in festivals. We have a whole school Japanese Language program and have developed a sustainable garden program.
The school has excellent facilities which cater for the diverse range of learning programs offered, including purpose built Music, Art and Craft, Library, Technology and Early Childhood learning areas. In addition, the school has a comprehensive ICT network with a computer laboratory, interactive whiteboards in all teaching areas and iPad technology.
Anzac Terrace PS was established in 1969 and has subsequently received a major upgrade to the administration area, undercover area, art room, pre-primary centres and music room. It is situated within a lovely garden setting in extensive grounds with mature shade trees and plenty of play areas, including lawns and ovals, basketball and netball courts, climbing equipment and fitness tracks.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- Leadership skills in the delivery of business outcomes and sound customer service principles and practices.
- Well developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to use effective negotiation skills.
- Sound financial management skills, including budget preparation and the ability to interpret and apply financial and accounting practices and procedures.
- Sound human resource management skills, including the ability to develop and/or apply human resource management practices and systems.
- Ability to provide input into the development, implementation and monitoring of business and marketing plans.
- Sound conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills.

Eligibility and training requirements
Employees will be required to:
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
