Appointment Pool
Cannington Community Education Support Centre (CCESC) are seeking to establish a pool of dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Education Support Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise from Term 4, 2022 and up to the end of Term 3, 2023. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements from Term 4, 2022 and up to the end of Term 3, 2023.
CCESC is a dynamic Independent Public School that works in partnership with our families, service providers and other stakeholders to ensure success for all students. We are looking for highly professional, motivated, collaborative, and innovative teachers wanting to work in an exciting and supportive school. Suitable applicants should have sound pedagogical knowledge and instructional skills required to run high quality, targeted student programs.
Intervention strategies and programs are consistent with the methodologies of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). Intervention strategies include, but are not limited to, evidence-based strategies; Functional Behaviour Analysis (FBA); Discrete Trial Training (DTT); Direct Instruction (DI); Positive Behaviour Support (PBS); Reinforcement (R+); Prompting (PP); Visual Support (VS); and Social Skills Training (SST).

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
