Appointment Pool
We are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year.
At Treeby Primary School (PS) we are committed to celebrating the diversity of our community and upholding a deep commitment to the uniqueness of every child. Teachers at Treeby PS hold themselves accountable to high expectations and pride themselves on their differentiated research-proven approaches that align to whole school expectations.
Suitable applicants will ideally be highly motivated and committed to students’ academic achievement and their social and emotional development, through the effective use of rigorous plan-teach-assess cycles. Ideally, applicants will display their ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment based on high expectations. They should use assessment data to continuously evaluate the effectiveness of teaching programs, set targets and plan for differentiated learning opportunities for all the students in their class. Utilising student-driven inquiry and their ability to build connections across the curriculum, teachers will ensure that every moment is utilised to drive student engagement and improvement.
Suitable applicants should display a deep commitment to developing positive and productive relationships with students, parents, and staff. They will embed a proactive and inclusive approach that includes individualised planning and the consistent application of low-key classroom management strategies, aligned to Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). Effective and regular communication, underpinned by respect and trust, is important at Treeby PS.
Teaching in a new public primary school presents unique challenges that require a particular skill set and outlook. Of utmost importance are the personal qualities you bring to the role. Suitable applicants will build and maintain positive professional relationships with students, families, colleagues, and the wider community. They should have a ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to anticipate and adapt to change; showing initiative, flexibility and creative problem solving to produce the best opportunities for students.
At Treeby PS, our teachers work in an environment committed to self-reflection and continuous self-improvement. They should be an active member of a supportive team, maximising the learning opportunities for all students. They will also be committed to collaborating with their colleagues, including during DOTT, to moderate judgements and support whole school priorities. Suitable applicants should be committed to undertaking the hard-work and collaboration inherent in delivering an engaging quality educational program, while building a positive whole school culture.
