Appointment Pool
Mullaloo Beach Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise in the 2023 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year.
We are seeking enthusiastic, committed and collaborative teachers with high expectations, who believe all children can learn and be successful, and who pursue excellence in their teaching. Suitable applicanta will be committed to putting students first in their decision-making and undertaking the hard work that is inherent in delivering a motivating and quality educational program. They should believe that exemplary, data driven evidence-based teaching practices, with tiered curriculum differentiation, leads to successful students and high standards of achievement and progression. Mullaloo Beach PS will utilise instructional coaching to support professional development. In this role, you will work as a member of a collaborative planning team, be committed to sharing your practice, and to ongoing professional development. Teachers who have additional expertise, skills, and knowledge that can add value to the development of explicit whole school programs are strongly encouraged to apply. We use a systematic synthetic approach and our key school programs include PLD, Talk 4 Writing, Paul Swan Milestones, and Oxford Mathematics. Suitable applicants should also be confident in visible learning strategies, the application of digital technologies across the curriculum to enhance student outcomes, and be innovative and contemporary in their practices. Knowledge and enthusiasm in area of sustainability is desirable.

Mullaloo Beach PS became an Independent Public School (IPS) at the start of the 2013 school year. Located in the Perth coastal suburb of Mullaloo, Mullaloo Beach PS is nestled in a tranquil environment just 300m from the beach. The school is located within a nature reserve and adjoins extensive playing fields. Large trees and grassed areas surround the school creating an open and natural ambience to greet visitors to the school.
Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment.
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement.
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
