Who are we looking for?
The successful applicant will be responsible for fostering a safe, purposeful and inclusive learning environment and will have the capacity to develop collaborative and respectful relationships with staff, students, parents and other stakeholders. The Principal will be innovative and creative in establishing systems and structures to foster academic achievement and improvements in social and emotional developments for students, as well as engaging a diverse school community in the educational programs of the school.
The Principal will be responsible for leading, managing and monitoring the school improvement process through a current and critical understanding of the learning process and its implications for enhancing high quality teaching and learning in every classroom in the school. They will possess a commitment to continuous school improvement and development of the instructional program, particularly the pedagogy of beginning teachers, and building networks with other agencies, other schools, and services in the community to benefit school programs.
The Principal will support the Department’s objectives for the public education and training of students in Western Australia. They will lead and manage the planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of the education of all students through the deployment of resources provided by the Department of Education and the school community.

Selection Criteria

Demonstration and assessment of these Personal Attributes of Effective Leaders will form part of the assessment process for this position.
