Appointment Pool
Kelmscott Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year
We are seeking passionate teachers who are focussed on inspiring our students by delivering engaging whole school programs with a growth mindset. You will need to have high expectations of student achievement and teacher efficacy. The Kelmscott PS ‘Pedagogical Framework’ contextualises and documents what exemplary teaching practices are expected at our school. Suitable applicants should possess the ability to collaborate effectively, and have the capacity to form professional and positive working relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community.
As a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) school, Kelmscott PS staff provide a safe, caring, supportive environment, and value quality partnerships and positive relationships. Our teachers and staff have a commitment to developing a positive school culture that puts students first and supports their social, emotional, behavioural and academic needs. The ability to develop high quality learning programs that effectively differentiate learning to support and extend students’ needs is highly regarded, as is the ability to provide timely and effective student feedback. We are seeking teachers who are self-reflective and continually monitor the impact of teaching and learning in the classroom through the ongoing, rigorous analysis of student data.
Kelmscott PS is located in the eastern suburbs of Perth, approximately 24 kilometres from the city. The school is close to Albany Highway but maintains a quiet semi-rural feel due to its proximity to the Darling Scarp and the Canning River. Kelmscott PS turns 140 in 2022 and as such, our history and heritage provide the school community with a sense of pride and ownership. Our ‘School Charter’ underpins our expectations, values and beliefs.
