Appointment Pool
Lathlain Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of enthusiastic and innovative Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2023 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2023 school year.
Suitable applicants should be conscientious and dedicated Teachers who possess a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. They will ideally be actively involved both within the school and wider community, highly reflective about their teaching practice and committed to evidence-based decision making and differentiation. A capacity and willingness to lead the development and delivery of school programs and priorities would be viewed favourably.
Suitable applicants should possess the professional knowledge, practices and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant curriculum using a positive, student-focused approach, and ideally have proven success working with students across a range of ability levels, including multi-age/split year groups. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a willingness to collaborate with colleagues, parents and external networks to establish strong community partnerships, will be highly regarded.
Suitable applicants should be relationship focused with a consistent and transparent classroom management approach. They should be enthusiastic, seek opportunities for innovation and leadership, and possess the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
As a member of our school teaching team you will implement effective, innovative and engaging learning programs. You will work collaboratively with other staff to apply whole school approaches for delivery of the WA Curriculum.
At Lathlain PS we cater for students in Kindergarten to Year Six and provide academic, social, physical, and emotional well-being for our students. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
